9th Sunday after Pentecost/ 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time/ Proper 14

Isaiah 1:1,10-20/Psalm 50:1-8,22-23/Hebrews 11:1-3,8-16/ Luke 12:32-40

Call To Worship:
One: Can’t you see?
Many: We have faith beyond visual confirmation.
One: Faith with good questions.
Many: Faith without easy ansers
One: It seems an impossible project,
Many: but it is made possible by God’s gracious movement

Instructions for Confession
(to be read in unison or alternating one-many)
Step 1: Have no fear! God’s Grace is already real for you
Step 2: Come with Honesty. God cannot endure your BS right now.
Step 3: Listen. God speaks through prophets and podcasts.
Step 4: Wash yourself clean. So much gets caked on in life. Exfoliate Spiritually
Step 5: Just Stop. God’s call can be difficult but it isn never terrible. Set aside the things that hurt you and others.
Step 6: Learn to do Good. Suggestions include: Seeking Justice, Rescuing the Oppressed, Defending the orphan, Pleading for the Widow.
Step 7: Accept and Rejoice. The Holy Spirit is already at work on these steps in you. Accept God’s grace and forgiveness.
Step 8: Repeat as needed. There is no destination because God is everywhere. So we journey and we return again and again.
